  1. What a great giveaway! I love working with strips and would love to have that ruler! I’ve also been wanting to try Aurifil thread. I am a follower of your blog!

  2. Like a lot of quilters I think my favorite notion is my seam ripper…..couldn’t live with out it! The next is my 5 x 24 ruler which is getting pretty old, thanks for the giveaway!

  3. I am in love with my new triangle ruler! The one that you can cut triangles from a strip instead of squares! LOVE IT! (sorry VERY new to quilting so if i don’t always know the right word I hope you can follow my thoughts! LOL) I was just watching Fons and Porter the other day on TV and said I have to get one of these Strip tube rulers! They were useing! Come on lucky mr # generator! pick me! LOL

  4. I have lots of favorite GADGETS, one that I really like is SMART PLATE… for kaleidoscope blocks, I’ve made several kaleidoscope quilts and used this handy template, it’s great! and I got the book- plus a signed booklet with the template from the AUTHOR!! ha ha

  5. My favorite notion – the seam ripper is the handiest – my new Brother machine is the most fun – and the sewing with varigated thread is just too cool for words. !

  6. I liked you on facebook just the other day as Kathy Schaller Snider. Thanks for the nice giveaway. I’m new to quilting and don’t have any of those things!

  7. My favorite notion is my Fiskars spring action scissors. They are the mid-sized ones. Every time I have a 50% off coupon at JoAnn Fabrics or they have 50% off notions they are out of stock. Hmmm.

  8. My favorite notion is my rotary cutter. It sure makes cutting much faster. And I can’t imagine getting it straight with scissors… Thanks for a chance to win! 🙂

  9. hello! I am a new quilter and love all the notions but especially the ruler as I only have a few. I am going to be a follower here too! Happy Holidays.

  10. My favorite notion is that Fiskars scissors sharpener.. LOVE it.. my scissors have to be sharp, it makes me mad to find my son has snuck my scissors and used them on something other than what they are supposed to be used on.. then I have to go and sharpen them.

  11. My favorite notion is the hand turned seam ripper from During Quiet Time that I recently purchased. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity,. Judy C

  12. Pick just one favorite? I love ALL of the zillions of notions I have. My special favorite might be the special feet for my sewing machine, the quart-inch foot in particular — but just in case that doesn’t qualify as a notion, then I pick fork pins! Whoever thought of those is a genius.

  13. my favourite notion would have to be my Kwik Klip. it really saves your nails and finger tips when sandwiching a quilt with safety pins. second favourite my machine quilting gloves!!!

  14. My favorite notion, other than my rotary cutter and spring loaded scissors would have to be the ceramic lead marking pencil. I LOVE that thing because it doesn’t dry out like almost every other marking tool I’ve used. Plus bonus is I can buy different colored ceramic leads to put into it since it’s like a mechanical pencil.

Thank you for the great giveaway. I’ve been hoping to get one of those strip tube rulers.

  15. I love those new Frixion pens, they have become my new favorite tool for marking my needleturn applique. If the applique isn’t perfect the marks just iron away and no one knows.

  16. You’ve been friended on fb 🙂

I really want to try some Aurufil thread and That is a ruler I think I would like. Unlike the ones I’m giving away. I didn’t know how to use them! I’ve done one tube quilt. It was fun and I’d love to try more!

  17. I sent a friend request for Facebook, didn’t see a like button, so I hope I did it right. I also sent a message along with the request. Looking forward to follow along both at facebook and here. Thanks once again.

  18. My favorite notion– or at least the one that I’m currently really enjoying– is my Clover Yo-Yo maker! With it, I can make my yo-yo’s super fast and they turn out very nearly perfect! 🙂

  19. I LOVE Aurifil thread. I’ve only been using it a short time, but it’s wonderful. I need more! lol. I also love my rotary cutter, and my Accuquilt GO! Thanks for the giveaway.

  20. My favorite notion is my surgical seam ripper. I try not to need it much, but if I do it cuts thread (fabric too) like butter. Just be careful. ;->

  21. One of my favorite notions is my Rowenta steam-generator iron. It can steam anything into submission! Truly, it is a pleasure to use, and it gives excellent results.

  22. I’m not a follower (I do not ‘follow’ any blog, but I do bookmark and check back on the blogs I like) so I cannot win. I just wanted to thank you for telling us more about the Frixion Pen. I love that there are different colors to choose from.

  23. My favourite notion has to be my Olfa cutting mat. It’s 20 years old and still going strong. It’s suffered all sorts of abuse and, other than the odd wash in hot soapy water, it maintenance free

  24. Presensia Thread 60 weight. I have found since I started using this brand of thread, plus moving my needle over a notch, plus starching my fabric before I cut and during the construction of my block…my blocks are coming out much more precise.

  25. My favorite notion is Havel’s Easy
Squeeze “Snip-Eze” Curved Blade Scissors. They make machine sewing so easy and quick snipping thread ends. Thanks for a great giveaway. Kd (WeimerMom)

  26. My favorite notion would have to be my locking lid pin container. Helps to keep little hands and paws (curious cat) out of my pins and not spread them all over on the floor. Ouch!!

  27. My favorite notion is a good sharp pair of scissors – well two of them, really… a small pair to keep by the machine, and a larger pair to cut fabric with. I hate it when my scissors won’t cut the first time I try!

  28. Your selection of notions is highly desirable, thank-you for your kindeness. My hubby is ‘allergic’ to pins so whie I am in his presence my pincushion is my favorite notion..it keeps him safe from them.

  29. My current favorite notion is the Frixion pen – why do you think I’m entering! I haven’t tried the scissor sharpener yet either. And yes, I love Aurifil thread too – I gave away all my other thread…

  30. Thank you for a lovely giveaway. I have several pairs of dull scissors that are in serious need of sharpening. I’ve heard so much about Aurfil thread that has made me want to try it but no one is selling it around here.

My favorite sewing notion is Guidelines 4 You’s Prep Tool. I use it to make perfect 1/4″ seams. I would be completely lost without it.

  31. Nice giveaway! I already follow your blog and business and would love to win these goodies.
Sorry to hear about your immediate surgery and following hospital stay. Hope you are up and feeling better soon. There is nothing worse than continuous pain, I know I live with mine (back/neck injury) everyday and surgery is not a possibility.
Keep smiling and let your Mom know she’s a wiz at blogging. hugs to you both!
    Jane
