A New Beginning

When I started blogging as Quilting Lodge, my path was very different.  I was certain I wanted to have an online store and sell lots of beautiful fabric.  Then my awesome dad bought Roscoe {my Gammill} for me and I fell in love with quilting.  I quickly decided selling and packaging fabric wasn’t near as much fun as quilting.  I love quilting.  I love the creative outlet it gives me.  And that’s how this all began.  The little voice of change started as a whisper and became louder and louder.  I knew I couldn’t ignore it, even though it was super scary.  I’m so happy I listened to that inner voice because I can now officially say….

Hello!  And welcome to my new home, Orchid Owl Quilts!

I’m so excited and very proud of my new home.  I hope you love it as much as I do.  I spent a lot of time the last 2 – 3 weeks transitioning to the new site.  Although, I really didn’t do much of the hard stuff.  I found an awesome person, Sarah from Spunmonkey, to help me.  I highly recommend her if you need help moving from Blogger to WordPress.  She is truly awesome and super friendly!  For real.

I think we need to celebrate the launch of my new name and new site by having a giveaway!  Don’t you think??  One lucky follower will win a layer cake of Sphere by Zen Chic.

Please leave a comment for a chance to win this awesome layer cake.  You can earn an extra entry by clicking the Facebook icon on the right and liking my new Orchid Owl Quilts page.  It’s a brand new page so I still have lots of work to do.

One more secret.  I’ll be hosting a second giveaway on Instagram.  You really want to check that out!  I promise you will love the prize.

Both giveaways will run until June 22nd at 11:59 PM CST.  I’ll announce a winner on June 23rd.

I can’t wait to start this new adventure!
