Labyrinth Quilt

Hello and Happy Easter!  I hope everyone has enjoyed a wonderful Easter. Too bad tomorrow is Monday and we all have to get back to work.

I finished another customer quilt on Friday and I wanted to share some pictures of the final product.  The pattern is called Labyrinth by Calico Carriage.  The top was pieced by a friend and she asked me to quilt it for her.

The quilt measures 93″ x 93.”  All the quilting is freehand done on Roscoe {my Gammill}.  I used So Fine #50 thread and Quilters Dream Deluxe 100% Cotton Batting.  If you haven’t tried Quilters Dream batting you really should!  The deluxe cotton is thicker than normal cotton batting and super soft.  I am in love with this batting.

I love the back so much!  I have really fallen in love with quilting on solid fabrics.  The solid fabric makes the quilting pop.

The view from the back shows all the different quilting motifs I used. Each section of the Labyrinth is slightly different.  I really love how it turned out.  It’s ironic that 12 months ago I didn’t really care for feathers.  Now I love feathers and sneak them in everywhere I can.

The next 3 pictures are over-exposed to show the quilting a little better.  I was in a hurry to get pictures so they weren’t the best.

This quilt was lots of fun to quilt.  I’m so happy she trusted me to quilt her beautiful quilt.  And I’m super happy that she loves it as much as I do.

Send me an email if you have a quilt top laying around that needs some love.  I would love to quilt it for you.

Happy Easter!
