One of Those Days

I hate to say it but Frugal Friday is not going to happen today {it will be back next week}.  Last night my dad fell off a ladder and landed himself in the hospital with a fractured elbow and broken hip.

He’s undergoing surgery now which has me a little preoccupied.  I’m not able to be there for him since we live 12 hours away so I’m anxiously awaiting a call from my step mother to know everything went great.

Please keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery.

  1. I’m so sorry about your dad! That’s a horrible thing for your dad to go thru and you not able to be there. I certainly will be praying for him and his doctors and for you.

  2. I hope he does ok..

I was in the same boat as you today… My baby daughter had day surgery and I couldn’t be there either… 12 hours separate us too!

  3. Oh, I am so sorry. Prayers have been said, and he and your family won’t be forgotten in the days ahead.

Please let us know how he’s progressing, when you have a moment–but don’t let the blog become a source of stress or pressure.

We are just coming off a few months of unexpected caregiving and patient-being in our house, and I know how tiring and frustrating and wearying it can be, on both ends of the situation. I have reached the light at the end of the tunnel–for the first time in MONTHS, my sweetheart was able to drive somewhere on his own. He is there, right this minute, and I took some time to read blogs in peace. And found your post, and wanted to share my experience that it does get better, eventually. Hang in there.
