The Texas Teardrops pattern is now available in my Craftsy store. There is a $5.00 charge for the pattern which will increase to $10.00 after the quilt along. Please let me know if you have any issues purchasing and downloading the pattern.
The schedule for the quilt along is as follows:
1 April: Discuss fabrics and notions needed for the quilt. This will be the time to gather your supplies and get ready to have some fun.
8 April: Preparing the templates and fusible web
11 April: Cutting the teardrops
22 April: Adhering the teardrops to blocks
24 April: Appliqueing the teardrops
6 May: Squaring up your blocks
13 May: Constructing the quilt top
20 May: Adding borders
27 May ~ 10 June: Add pictures of your final quilt to the Flickr group and be eligible for lots of awesome prizes.
I would like everyone to know that the schedule is subject to change at my discretion. This is my first quilt along so I may need to adjust some of the dates if it appears I didn’t allow enough time for the different steps. My main goal is for everyone to be successful.
There have been a couple requests to make smaller projects. I am completely ok with that. In fact, if you want to make a smaller version and need a little help with the math, just let me know.
Finally, I do have the fat quarter bundles listed in our store. There’s also a background fabric kit that includes the background fabric, steam a seam and a small applique sheet. You can pick between white, porcelain, grey & black for the background fabric. Remember, you are not required to purchase fabric from us. I just wanted to offer some bundles that I thought would look awesome with this pattern. Don’t wait too long because the bundles are limited.
Prizes! Yes there will be prizes. I haven’t gotten the pictures yet but you will love the prizes. I have fat quarter bundles and some awesome Aurifil threads! Plus, I have a couple other leads for more goodies.
Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions. I think I’ve addressed everything that’s been asked so far. I can’t wait to get started!

so if I wanted a 40-42 inch finished piece would you recommend making smaller teardrops, or fewer blocks?
I’m leaning toward smaller blocks…
Just signed up, but have so much stash I need to use up I would be in trouble if I bought more.
Thanks for the reminder – bought the pattern…no clue how to join a Flickr group. Going to find some happy material in my stash!! I’m at SABLE, so I have to hit the stash!

I am on vacation for just over a week at the end of April but hopefully I can catch up 🙂 I’m so excited!

I’m in! Just bought my pattern. Now to go “shopping” in my stash…
Got the pattern, now trying to figure fabric, so much to choose from!
I read that this is actually Rounded Pi Day – this year only! Since the number is 3.14159 etc., if you round that you get 3.1416. But as I’m writing this the day is already finished in Britain. Only a century to wait for the next one.
