A Huge Thank You

I’m a little late posting this but that’s because I spent all day cheering Jake on in his soccer tournament.  We had 4 games all of which were played in monsoon winds.  Seriously, I couldn’t see because my hair kept whizzing around my head.

Jake’s team placed third and he suffered a small boo boo.  He was tripped and then kicked in the eye.  My poor baby has a bit of a shiner.

Now for the big big huge thank you to all of you who voted for me.  I am so honored that my quilt actually won for my category, applique.  I honestly didn’t think I had a chance with all the great quilts that entered.  I didn’t even expect to make the finals, much less win.  I know I only won because so many of you voted for me.  You all rock!

Texas Teardrops

I really can’t thank you all enough for all the support and encouragement.  This was my first time entering and I can’t wait to do it again.  All of the quilts are so amazing and offer such inspiration!

I know I want to draft the pattern for this one but I was also throwing around the idea of a quilt along.  What do you all think?  Would anyone be interested in a Texas Teardrops Quilt Along?

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!  I know mine has been great so far.  Hugs…

I’m not much of a joiner because life seems to get in the way but I might be convinced that I should join a QAL for this lovely. ;o)

  2. This pattern has fascinated me since you first showed it, and I wondered how it was made. I’d love to join in a QAL to make it 🙂 Congrats, it’s a very cool quilt.

  3. Congrats on the win! That is so awesome for you and I’m a little bit proud because I voted for you myself! I think an applique QAL would be a little bit beyond my current skills but I might give it a whirl!
